While leaving the paperwork to Mejojo meant that he got to screw around and do what he liked, it also meant he was the one who had to take care a lot of the dirty work. How fun that was depended on how easy it was, and this? Not so easy. Also, their prey wasn't anything particularly interesting, as far as he's concerned.
Of course, the fact that Mejojo was actually with him helped matters a bit, but it was easy to tell that a) his brother wasn't in the mood to play with him, and b) his brother didn't like having to do this mission, something which he can think of several possible reasons for. So in the end, he ended up almost as bored as he would have been on his own. It's not surprising that he seems happy when Mejojo finally chooses to address him, his tail shooting up cheerfully. ]
