LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS NO GOOD

[ he's not expecting to come back. Quite frankly, he's a little disappointed.

Disappointed when he finds his consciousness come clawing back out of the black nothingness his mind had plunged into after that bulkhead had closed between him and them - one final door slamming shut, cutting off whatever last wretched shred of hope there might have been for normalcy. As it should be. As he knew it would be. He'd made enough stupid, stupid, stupid choices leading up to this point, and believing for half a second that he'd have another chance was the last of them. He died in there, wrong, trapped, as always, in some shitty dark corner of someone else's home. Should have died. Should have.

But death in the cognitive world is a funny thing - he knows better than anyone, really, how a person can be broken in that world. Maybe Shido just didn't believe that he was that great of a shot, and so the snarling-laughing pretty boy detective pointing a gun in his face had somehow (somehow!) missed the killshot. That would be pathetic, and thus, fitting. He'd "woken up," in some sense of the word - he doesn't know where he was, other than outside, and his consciousness was so tattered from the mental strain of being cognitively destroyed in someone else's mind that he hardly remembers how he got to where he is. There's blood in his eyes and in his mouth (just like he'd seen happen to all the others when he did it) and it's all he can do to shamble towards something familiar, some place that some corner of his lizard brain vaguely recognizes. Anything to get away from everything.

He doesn't really knock at the door as much as slump at it bodily with a thump. Is it a blessing or a curse that Makoto will be the one at home, and not Sae? Leblanc is the only place that might have welcomed the sight of him, but he's not that lucky - he never was. ]
