i was going to reply to this with the starter but i forgot ada's password and locked myself out of her account... HOW DO U FEEL ABOUT A VISITING NOBLE HOUSE FROM A NEIGHBORING COUNTRY with their cute daughter staying in the garden house...

[the little house in the garden never seems to change, along with the rest of Julian's life -- the garden, his royal highnesses Mejojo and Auger, his own weaknesses -- but Julian has always been fine with that consistency. Even if it also meant the rest of his life would be predictable, at least it's a safe predictable.]

[even if it is a boring and lonely and sad sort of predictable... but that's fine too, because that's all Julian knows he deserves!!!]

[knowing that doesn't stop the little skip his heartbeat makes when he hears the news from Mejojo though -- about the visitors they're expected to host. A fairly important family of nobility, apparently, from the neighboring country of Reveille. Of course, Julian's role concerning the Vessalius family is the one he's meant to play -- as a manservant and a total nobody. But a manservant and total nobody to the daughter of Duke Vessalius, lady Ada Vessalius for the duration of her stay in the pretty little garden house, in the garden that hasn't changed in years.]

[To say that he's nervous would be a MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT, but Julian has always been good at masking his anxiety and fears, so it's with a relatively calm demeanor that he goes to the house with his tea tray in tow and gently knocks on the door...]

Excuse me, lady Ada.

[his tail curls behind him, and he takes a moment to take a deep breath and let himself unwind. IT'S JUST TEA... IT'S JUST ANOTHER PERSON... albeit the first person in a very long time that Julian's spoken to who isn't his half-brothers or the other servants.]

I've brought you your afternoon tea from the castle kitchen. May I come in?

[ As it turns out, Ada is nervous, too - but not about Julian. No surprises there; servants are servants, and, quite honestly, she tends to find people from the lower classes easier to deal with. She always tries to treat everybody equally. The problem is that the other nobles don't share that point of view - especially royalty. And so, she knows she has another long visit of trying to discern truth from lies in the princes' words as they try to take advantage of her family - and vice versa, most likely, though she tries not to think of that. She's not good at those things.

And so, she's nervous. Enough that Julian will probably hear her squeak of surprise through the door when he calls. But she's quick to try and cover it up with an actual answer. ]

Y-yes! Of course!

[ when he comes in, he'll find Ada standing up next to her chair for some reason and looking a little ashamed (she may have leapt up.) Even so, she can't help but glance up shyly at his... ears.

She loves cats. And the Katze's little ears and tails... No, she musn't stare! ]
