[At first, Minato thinks it's a little strange that a back alley cat wouldn't want some of this sweet, sweet tuna--but then, that cat has a collar, right? So he must be plenty well-fed and well taken care of. Of course he wouldn't want this tuna. So Minato shrugs a little, and starts to dole out the rest to the other cats.

They appreciate it, Morgana.

Also, because it makes this thread more fun, we're gonna say MYSTERIOUS POWERS have allowed Minato to understand Morgana here--not that he's close enough to hear him speak. He just hears what he thinks are words, and straightens up, looking around.

And then, in puzzlement:]

Is someone else here...? Hello...?

[ i mean, he's a persona user, it's not TOO far-fetched that he could understand Morgana!! Not that Morgana knows this. He notices Minato stand up when he speaks -- but, obviously, he assumes that it's not in reaction to his voice, because how could it be? Still, he can't help but look around, too, as if the mysterious third party will appear...

It doesn't. ]

...? [ seeing nothing, he gets to his feet, too, squinting up at Minato. Of course it couldn't be his voice... right? Should he test it? Would it be irresponsible to do so? If there's someone else that can hear him, that would mean there was someone else in the Metaverse, too, and all of them are well aware of the possible ramifications of that. On the other hand, maybe it would be more irresponsible to just ignore this.

Really, in the end, Morgana can't help his curiosity. ] ... You're not talking to me, are you?

[That... okay, this time, there's no mistaking it. That's a cat. A talking cat. And quite the eloquent talking cat too.

Minato shakes his head a little. Of course he's an eloquent talking cat. All cats should be eloquent, it just feels right.

... Wait, he should focus, shouldn't he?

Minato steps towards said kitty, crouching a safe distance away--it's not like he wants to startle the cat.]

... I'm definitely talking to you. Is that surprising? [It's kind of surprising. Minato seems chill about it though.]

[ Eloquent! Someone thinks he's eloquent!! Of course he's eloquent!! Of course, Morgana remains sadly unaware of the fact that he's being praised for something other than his cuteness and ability to turn into car...

Despite Minato's attempts, Morgana still looks pretty startled -- understandably, considering that no one should be able to understand him, outside of a select group whom he's quite familiar with. ]

-- Shouldn't that be my line?! [ HE'S SO CALM ABOUT IT!! ] How come you can understand me?!

[Oops, he startled the poor cat. Maybe he came over too fast, or--

It has nothing to do with that, apparently, but rather that Minato can understand him...? Minato tilts his head, expression contemplative.]

Is that really so bad, though...? This conversation would be a lot harder to have if I couldn't. [He really is so fine with this.]

T-the fact that we're having it at all is a problem! A big one!

[ okay, okay, okay okay. He just needs to handle this on his own, which he can totally do. With a clarifying shake of his head, he sits back down on his haunches, trying to look more resolute than he's feeling. ]

[Hmmm... Minato just sits back on his own heels, head cocking.]

[ once again, Morgana looks aghast. Maybe he shouldn't be asking about this?! Then again, if he doesn't know what the Metaverse is, then he can't really do any harm... Right?! ]

Then there's no way you should be able to understand me...! Unless... Maybe you just believe all cats can talk?

[ if his cognition was something bizarre like that, then maybe he'd naturally recognize when Morgana is speaking, but that's too crazy to be true. Right?? ]

Uh... [UHHHH.] You know, I've never thought about it too hard...? I guess I wouldn't be surprised that cats could talk and just never felt like sharing that.

Is that the explanation we're going with?
