[ Cardia glances over her shoulder, gaze thoughtful. She should have known the gem would be the one to find her out here, and it's why she can offer them a weary smile. ]

Hello, Cinnabar.

"Not yet?"

[ they almost make a comment about how they thought humans were diurnal, but remember her saying that she wasn't human, not really - to them, it's less of a condemnation and more of a simple fact. The smile isn't returned, nor the greeting; Cinnabar crosses their arms, avoiding her gaze by looking off at the horizon. Being alone for hundreds of years isn't good for your social skills. ]

[ Similarly, Cardia also looks back across the horizon, closing her eyes briefly as a breeze passes them by. ]

[ they can't say they're not familiar with that... although it feels like it's been a long time since they had a nightmare about their body. That's probably what Cardia is talking about. ]

This was... more like a memory, except that I was asleep when I experienced it.

[ Cardia stares down at her gloved hands, clenches them carefully. ]

It probably sounds silly, but it still feels so real to me.

It wouldn't be much of a dream if it didn't.

[ if she's expecting comfort from them, she's about to be disappointed. Cinnabar has no idea what to do with this information - they're poorly socalized to begin with, and they certainly don't have people coming to them for emotional support. Information, maybe, but certainly not comfort. ]
