And of course he's hankering to be indulged. He hasn't been indulged in a positive way since the ARK and Maria - and today's just been a reminder of that. This whole thing hinged on him refusing his desires - rejecting what felt best to him. Really, ever since he fell back down to Earth, it's just been a string of that.

All of that's a very convenient excuse for why he feels the need to take potshots at Sonic in absentia. Sonic, after all, is a creature of indulgence.

Speaking of, he makes a face at the slice of cake as she sets it on the counter, rolling over to his side to face her as she moves around the room.]

Exactly as predicted. Looking for someone to offload it onto? Maybe Omega could compost it for fuel.

[ she gives an amused little hmph at his correction. Two thirds, then. What Sonic doesn't know won't hurt him (or his ego.) That amusement is quick to turn into a melodramatic sigh as she waves a hand, turning away from him to bustle around her little bat-sized kitchenette. ]

Hmph! Is it really so hard to believe I picked it up for you? Even the ultimate life form deserves a treat once in a while.

[ not that she truly thought he'd eat it... although she would've liked to see that. As she speaks, she pulls out the one thing she knows he will take - a bag of dark-roasted beans - and puts a pot of coffee on. Her beauty sleep will have to wait a bit longer. She's theoretically nocturnal, anyway. ]
