Not really. Grigori only tutored me as long as he was around, and no one else really did after that, except for teaching me a new language or something, but that wasn't too hard.
[ It's sad, in a subtle way, and a way that she seemingly misses. Diva reaches out to pull a book of folklore from around the world from the shelf. ]
Oh, right! Here, this way - come with me. [ beckoning her along after him so they can go upstairs to the next floor; he doesn't want to leave her by herself. She'd be like a 200-year-old unattended child.
As he walks, though, he pauses, glancing back at her. ]
Actually... Would you want to read that while we're here at the library? There's a lot more space here, after all, and it shouldn't be too long... Plus, libraries are just so cozy!
[ he can hardly believe what he's hearing. Miss 'casually strips on a public network' Diva, embarrassed about being read to? Everyone's concerned about different things, he supposes. Still, he acquiesces without complaint, nodding at her as they go up the stairs. ] Mmm, we can do that. Are you shy about it? Not being able to read, that is.

[ but they're coming up on the section he's looking for now, so he won't lavish her with any more sweet words. Instead, he makes a beeline for one shelf, holding a finger out as he searches along the titles for the one he's looking for. ]
[ She pauses at the end of the aisle for a moment, looking at Garry with a surprised, fond sort of smile, but she just ends up laughing a little. Diva closes the distance between them so that she can stand close, leaning her head affectionately on his arm. ]
You know, it's a good thing that we have this understanding as friends, Garry. If not and you kept saying things like that, I'd definitely fall for you.
[ Warmly: ] But I like being friends better anyways.
[ but that's not the case, now, is it? She's a vampire, and she has a lot of problems, and he knows he'd just make things worse for the both of them in the long run. So, as always, he does his best to ignore her suggestion, just smiling wryly and focusing on the books, instead. ]

Oh, this? It's a series about the FBI trying to track down this thief who steals famous works of art! See, this painter here is known for his equestrian oil paintings, so that's probably what's going on... Well, I haven't read it, so I can't say for sure...
[ Garry is insecure and immediately sounds defensive. ] I-I swear, they're really good! Though... I can't say that I'm crazy about this cover. It's pretty strange and cheesy, isn't it?
Well... If we go up one more floor, that's where they store all the research documents and things like that. It's always quiet up there! We'd probably be on our own.

[ tucking his new ugly book under one arm, he heads off the way they came, happening back upon the staircase and continuing upwards this time. The next floor is as he said - a little cramped, with loads of books everywhere, but not a soul in sight, despite the warm and inviting light filtering in through the windows. ]
-- Ah. Over here, [ Garry beckons, keeping his voice down simply because it's so quiet already, and starts off again, heading towards a small croft by a window with enough room for two. ]
[ Diva follows after him obediently, and once they make it to that floor, she sees that alcove at almost the same time Garry does. She's pleased that he had the same idea, and she makes a small, pleased little noise before walking a little more quickly to make it there first. She takes a seat there, then pats the space next to her for him to share.
and the one librarian up there probably made a face of disgust at the couple coming up to ruin the quiet ]
[ she's got it all wrong!! they're a friend couple gosh!!! but still annoying probably... Of course, he readily takes the seat next to her, ignoring any unhappy librarians they may have passed on the way there. ]
