[ maybe they should join in with the group, but -- nah, he'd rather keep her to himself over here for now, especially if she doesn't know what she's doing. No need to embarrass her. Lupin flips the hat he's holding in his hand casually, then sets it down, offering his hand to her anew. ]

[ Cardia's breath catches-- not because he's surprised her, but there's just something about being this close to him that still does this to her. It's really something she's got to chalk up to it just being Lupin.

She nods, for now, lifting her hand to grasp his shoulder and focusing on his face. She doesn't really care what other people think, but for her own sake, it's easier to narrow her concentration like this. ]
