[ They both have their reluctance, but at least they can both press forth without too much hesitation. (Well, on the outside.) So 9S only nods, following suit.
The trek along the way falls quiet again—alligator aside, there's nothing special of note—but 2B is right in that they aren't far off from their destination.
Eventually, they reach a dead end. ... Sort of; it's more like there's a thick sheet of metal blocking their exit, but it's dented enough to feel an airflow coming in from the other side through the narrow, uneven spaces. 9S walks past 2B to carefully approach the "wall", turning his hear toward a small hole. ]
... Well, I hear more water, all right. [ As expected, but man, what a pain. He gently presses the palm of his hand against the metal. ] We just need to get past this thing. Wanna try using some force on it?
[ 9S may be stronger than the average human, but he pales in comparison to a battle unit. (Executioner unit, even, who're more powerful.) He isn't certain he could budge the whole thing out of the way on his own. ]

2B waits for him to finish investigating, but she had a feeling before he even started that this was going to be a job for her; she gives him a nod. ]
Got it.
[ and she does. No need for her to draw her blade; she just walks up to the offending metal plate, pauses for a second, and then kicks it as hard as she can. It was always enough to send the stubbier machines flying, and it has about the same effect here: there's an audible clang as her heel both leaves a sizable dent in the metal and sends it crashing through the opening. More water starts gushing out as soon as the metaphorical cork is popped -- but not enough to put them more than shin-deep. The inside isn't flooded, after all. That's a good sign. ]

9S carefully peers in after 2B breaks them in—the noise piercing the dead silence enough that it startled him, despite him seeing it coming—gleaning what he can from the Pods' limited light. He isn't sure what to expect, because after all, last they had been within the Bunker it had turned into a literal hellzone, filled with dozens of YoRHa driven to madness. 9S has to suppress the feeling that another one will emerge from the pitch black all around them, ready to kill them so intently.
He's already had to kill so many infected YoRHa before without a drip of regret. But now... now, if he ever has to turn his blade on another android again, it'll be too soon.
Once metal hits the floor with a reverberating clang, all settles back into dead silence. 9S stands along the ledge of the pipe before venturing into the quiet. ]
Looks like this is it...
[ He recognizes what little he can make out of the interior. Its stark whiteness, the bland simplicity of it—when it's the only home you've ever had, a person learns it well. Even when it's kind of trashed to hell. ]
It's pretty eerie, huh? [ Despite everything, 9S attempts to interject some levity into the atmosphere. ] Kind of hard to believe this is actually the Bunker. Or... some of it, anyway.

But it was her home, like it was 9S's. It had given some order to the chaos of living. She knew the androids here. They would speak to her. They'd look after her. YoRHa had betrayed them all; she knows that now. Even so, she feels a sense of solemnity that she can't easily shake off (she never was good at that) as she steps through the breached hull.
9S's voice is a welcome reminder that not everything was lost. He's still alive; that's all she could have hoped for. ]
... Yeah. It is. [ It's somewhat rare for her to agree with his random observations, but there it is. In this corridor, there's little more than floodwater and scattered pieces of broken things - none of which seem to be android parts. She's thankful for that, even if she doubts it will last. 2B spends a second or two looking around the area, then looks towards her partner again. Coming into a place like this with him makes her nervous - it's so easy to recall times she led him into the darkness like this, only to... ] Any idea where we should start looking?
drags my ass back here...
[ A good question, if an expected one. 9S looks up the corridor, then down, and begins to take slow steps in one direction. Caught in the debris, his foot nudges at a warped, partially melted plaque beneath the floodwater reading 8B. ]
These must've been our rooms. [ The damage makes it tricky to tell at a glance, but there's no other reason why he'd be finding a nameplate in this particular hallway otherwise. There was an entire floor dedicated to housing them when not off on a mission, after all. ] If we want to get into the Bunker's servers, we're gonna have to find a terminal that survived the fall.
[ Which may be easier said than done. ]
And I doubt anyone kept the kind of info we want in their rooms.
YAY
[ sensible enough. She does her best to chase away the dark memories and focus on the goal ahead of them. That's the only duty she has right now - she's never going to fulfill her original purpose again. Not ever. ]
We're not taking the elevator. Maybe we can climb through the shaft.
[ ... if they're lucky, it'll be intact. If they're not -- well, their Pods still have maps of the Bunker in their memory banks somewhere. They could make their own route if they had to. 2B sloshes through the water towards the elevator doors, which are, unsurprisingly, locked tight, and gets to work trying to pry them open. ]
