[ while kiryu's first reaction is to pout when nishiki chastises him so easily without skipping a beat (he thought he was making a profound statement...), hearing him go on confuses him just a little more. he tilts his head to the side ever so slightly, slightly moving out of the way of any stray soup drops that fly off nishiki's chopsticks. ]

Hopefully, the guy behind the counter wasn't listening. Not that he'd give a pair of yakuza any trouble, anyway... He shakes his head, then reaches out to give Kiryu a friendly (teasing) pat on the back. ]
