[ once in a while, fate deals them a merciful hand. Before this, they'd been submerged deep into the ocean and miles away from one another, to the chagrin of both - thus, it feels like a kindness when they're allowed to partner up again in this new realm (a blessedly dry one.) This planet seems largely uninhabited, even moreso than Earth. A rough, rocky landscape stretches as far as the eye can see in all directions, mountains like enormous black fangs breaking up the horizon. According to Astoria, there is life out here, somewhere, and they're here to find this reclusive mountain-dwelling culture. 2B hasn't even seen an insect scuttling around yet.

This type of scouting is par for the course for any YoRHa android. Unfortunately, their abilities as YoRHa androids are spotty at best under the current conditions - and, evidently, it's not just the androids losing power. At the moment, she's peering down the cliffside - far, far down, where her Pod can be spotted nestled between a few boulders. ]

Alert: Magnetic levitation system has been disabled. Attempting manual reboot.

[ its voice can be heard distantly from down below where it crash-landed, and 2B sighs, vaguely annoyed. Normally, she'd just jump down and retrieve it -- but if Pod can't even fly reliably, she doesn't want to risk her suspension and internal repair protocols misfiring when she lands... ]

Guess we're finding a way down.
