[ In comparison, Diva's reaction is one of utter excitement and wonder, and she wastes no time in grabbing Garry's hand and tugging him along into the new little world they've discovered. ]
Ah, it's so pretty! Finally, there's somewhere actually wort— [ But as she steps into the grass, her fashionable tastes works against her as the heel of her shoe sinks into the soft earth. Diva loses her balance, ad will drag Garry down with her unless he's able to catch both of them... Off to a great start, clearly. ]
Wait up a minute! [ her sudden tug catches him by surprise, so he's dragged along, though he's reluctant. He can never trust anything about Haven, no matter how nice this place looked. ] We don't know what -- w-woah!!
[ Yeah, like Garry has the grace to keep his balance and catch her; he's totally falling down, too. Possibly onto her, and hopefully not rolling down the hill Princess Bride style. ]
[ Definitely onto her, but at least she's in a good enough mood and durable enough to not mind at all. Also they don't roll down the hill, since that helps too. She looks up at him with a sort of blankly surprised expression before she just ends up laughing as she tilts her head back to look at the scenery again, even if it's upside-down. ]
Ahh, what kind of prince are you, Garry? You're supposed to catch the princess when she falls, right?
Ugh... Ah -- sorry! [ falling why. He rolls off of her as soon as he can, sitting up beside her- it would be indecent to lay there, even if he's pretty certain Diva is both unhurt and uncaring. ]
That wouldn't have happened if you hadn't run off so suddenly! Honestly, pay a little attention, Diva... [ with a sigh, though, he glances off at the scenery, as well. ] All of this is underground...?
[ Diva, on the other hand, stays exactly where she is, seemingly comfortable with laying in the grass and flowers. Though she does look Garry's way as he talks, at least. ]
It's fine, isn't it? I just didn't think the ground would be so soft. [ Her head doesn't shift, but her eyes look up instead at the sky (?!) ]
It must be, right? We went down, so it couldn't be anything else.
[ he gives her a rather questioning glance. Hadn't she ever been outside before? (He's not sure he wants the answer to that question.) ]
But there's a sky... That just doesn't make sense. [ pause, and then he gives a long-suffering sigh. ] ... Ahh, I don't know why I expect anything to make sense anymore.
Ruin it? I'm sure more sets of eyes would... [ he tenses up a bit when she reaches out to him, but she's just putting a flower on him... oh. This girl -- this woman, really, despite how she acted sometimes -- couldn't be helped. ] ... would let us find a way out faster, but... I suppose it's all right if we look around a little first.
That's fine! We can just enjoy it as our secret for a little bit and I'll be happy.
[ As she withdraws her hand, she pauses, smoothing a piece of his hair that was out of place. But then she's seemingly done with getting in his personal space for now, since she stands, brushing off her skirt. ]
[ at least he's mildly used to it, although having someone pretty going in for your face was always a little disconcerting. He pats his hair self-consciously, staring up at her with a bit of helpless exasperation before getting to his feet himself. ]
Now that's a better idea... Hopefully nothing nasty. [ not that he can see much. It really did look like an open field from here. Knowing Haven, there were probably rabid bears waiting to leap out of the flower patch, but... ]
omg no this is so cute

It doesn't, but does it matter? We can enjoy it for now.

[ he leans over, looking riled up, supporting himself on his hands. ]
What if there's a way out in here? We've just got to tell the others!

[ Diva sits up, leaning closer to tuck that flower behind Garry's ear. ]
You can tell them, if you want. But, we should definitely have fun while we're here.
