DINO ATTACK 3
[ So - rainforest, heavy on both the rain and forest components, humidity, and a distinct sense of unease. That appeared to be what we were dealing with here. Tidus was sorry to say it wasn't the first time something like this had happened to him, but at least he wasn't totally confused and clueless this time.
Well. All right, he was still pretty confused and generally clueless, but he did have the experience to keep from totally flipping out. For now, anyway.
First matter of business: find shelter, because it is incredibly uncomfortable to be standing around in the rain in this humidity. He was in and out of the water all the time, sure, but - call it a gut feeling: he needed to get out of here, and fast. It looked like luck was on his side when he came across a cave, which was undoubtedly dark and creepy, but probably dry. Except he is fairly certain he just heard some kind of weird noise, though he's not sure if it came from the cave or somewhere else. The rain made it hard to tell. ]
Uhh... Hey! Hello? Anyone in here?

The prince was weighed down by his massive cloak and metal wings as he trudged through mud. He had given up on keeping his crown on his head, and it now rested around his arm like an over sized bracelet. Dear God, he couldn't recall a time when he was more agitated than he was now. Getting stabbed was like a picnic compared to this. Slapping away low hanging branches while simultaneously trying to drag along his cloak was proving to be quite a vigorous task for the prince, but he refused to surrender to the weather. Screw you, rain! YOU WILL NOT WIN THIS BATTLE.
Preoccupied with planning his revenge for whoever put him in this predicament, he didn't notice someone yelling until the very last syllable. By then, he wasn't entirely sure if he actually heard someone else's voice or it was just the wind and rain. Person or no person, Vilof needed to shout at something. ]
You better enjoy your freedom now, you...churl! I will not be disheartened so easily! You have picked a fight with the wrong man! [ YEAH, TAKE THAT WORLD. You messin' with the wrong prince. ]

Either way, he was mad (for some reason), and it would probably be good to avoid getting into a fight with the first sign of human life when he needed answers. Surprise - and maybe a hint of skepticism - leaps onto his face, and he holds his hands up defensively. ]
Hey, hey! Calm down, I didn't do anything! We don't have to fight! [ pause . . . okay patience is over here comes mr. sports running over to him through the mud, although he has the brains not to dash right up into his face - he stops quite a few feet away. ] Can you tell me where I am? I'm kinda lost!

Ah! Who are you?! [ He leaves his cape alone to keep both hands free, as if to swat at Tidus again. He doesn't even give the poor guy time to reply before yelling again. ] Answer me!

[ spoke too soon. ]

Vilof gives Tidus a look of disbelief. COULD HE NOT SEE THE PROBLEM? IT WAS RAINING, THERE WAS MUD EVERY WHERE. Who cares about figuring out where the Hell they were, he was going to catch a cold like this! He had so many better things to do than wander around some God forsaken forest, with weird...trees he had never seen before, and stupid sludge. ]
Did you just honestly ask that question?! Look where I am! Look at the condition I am in! [ HE IS DISTRESSED!! Taking a step back, he attempts to figure out where his cape got stuck. He continued to face Tidus, in case a good smack needed to happen to knock some sense into this guy. Pft, what was his problem...it's so obvious. ]
my friend just texted me saying to meet her in 10 minutes I SUDDENLY KNOW KNOW HOW YOU FEEL...
Yeah, well, me too! Don't blame me for it. [ he links his hands behind his head, looking unimpressed, buuuut - let's be friends, okay, Mr. Prince? ] But looks like you're lost too. Who're you?
[ At least it's not just me this time. ]
LOL WHAT?
THAT'S IT. That's the straw that broke the camel's back. An angry "UGH" escaped his mouth before he thought SCREW IT. He was already dirty, he might as well just embrace it. He gathered as much of the cape as he could, scooping up mud, small twigs and leaves along with it, and held it in his arms. He looked past Tidus through sopping bangs and noticed the cave behind him. God, how primitive. Without saying another word to Tidus, the prince marches right past him toward the cave. ]
your friends are always making and cancelling plans without notice it seems to me B'|
Hey, I found it first! [ don't get your wet clothes everywhere dude - but he trudges after him. What a mess... This wasn't going to be easy. He can already tell. Guess he got lucky last time, meeting up with (relatively) friendly people. ]
OOOoohh yes B(
He struggles for a moment to get the cape off as the metal wings clank together loudly. He lowers himself to the ground and he pulls the cape over his shoulder. Pushing it off toward the side of the cave opening, he makes some sort of intangible mumble as mud splashes onto him. He shakes his head and brushes himself off, as if that was supposed to make him miraculously dry, and he steps into the cave. ]
There. Now, what were you going on about? [ Vilof still looks like a miserable, drowned cat, but at least he was shielded from the rain for now. Mood level + .00001 ]

I asked who you were. [ testily. Tidus is trying to be patient. He's a nice guy - he really is! But this weirdo's attitude is seriously starting to rub him the wrong way. He crosses his arms, giving him a distinctly peeved look. ]

You may call me Vilof. [ Despite looking terrible and less than royal, he has a tone that would suggest otherwise. ]
no subject
Yeah, as much as I could say that situation 'turned up.' ]
Vilof... You're not from around here, either, right?
no subject
I do not remember how I got here. [ He talks while rubbing some dirt off the crown. ] Do you?
10 YEARS LATER sorry I have 3 exams this week 9_9 CRUEL WORLD
Maybe. ]
Not a clue. [ he sounds exasperated, like this is a pain in the butt more than a serious problem. ] Are you from Spira, then?
AND THEN POE TAKES 100 YEARS for a tiny post - entschuldigung ;-;
No, I have not heard of such a place. [ Now that Vilof was under some kind of cover, his tone was getting just a tinsy bit less demanding, but it was going to take a lot more than sitting in a cave to make Mr. Persnickety Pants here happy. ]
bless you
But that's an interesting answer. Leaning forward, he suddenly seems a lot more intrigued by what Vilof has to say - and maybe a little more nervous about the situation. ]
Zanarkand?

No, I have not heard of that one either. Are these countries you are naming?

[ Geesh boi, listen to your local prince. ]
